Accessibility at Alivio

Alivio Tourist Park Canberra welcomes people of all abilities and their accredited service animals, and we’re committed to ensuring your stay is enjoyable.
Alivio is located about 4km north of the Canberra CBD. Local taxis and Ubers are popular options used by guests who do not arrive by their own transport. Alternatively, the closest bus stop is located approx. 1.3km away and is a 17-minute walk.
Alivio is a large property spread over seven hectares. There is parking directly outside most cabins and villas. Two of the Blue Gum Villas are considered accessible villas, with wider door frames to the entry door, bathroom door, and one of the two bedrooms. Most of our Three Bedroom Villas and two of the Blue Gum Villas have ramps rather than stairs; the remainder have cabins and villas have two to four steps.
Whilst our Amenities block is not advertised as having an accessible bathroom, our Family Bathroom does have grab rails and a walk in shower that could be used by a guest with a wheelchair. Whilst there is a step to get into the Family Bathroom, there is constructed ramp to have this more accessible. Please reach out to the team if you would like us to email you a photo of this set up.
Being located on Bruce Ridge, Alivio is on a sloping site with some parts of the property featuring a significant incline and stairs to access facilities or play spaces. Whilst there are paths leading to some accommodation, the roads are considered a shared space and are required to be used to move around the park.
Alivio has an electric club car that can be used to assist guests to their accommodation.
The camp kitchen, lobby area, and restaurant, The Verandah, have ramp options that do not require the use of stairs. The pool area does have stairs at both entrances; the deck entrance features a mechanical. A 3D tour of the park can be viewed here.
The Verandah can cater to dietary requirements. Traces of nuts, soy, gluten, egg and dairy are handled in the kitchen.
Reception is open from 7.00 am – 10.30 pm daily, and staff are present and available on site 24/7.
Alivio welcomes feedback and suggestions on how we could better accommodate our guests with disabilities or accessibility requirements. Please email us at manager@aliviogroup.com.au
Thank you for taking the time to familiarise yourself with our park, we look forward to welcoming you soon.
